Journey
A path shaped by curiosity and service
My journey into science didn’t start with a single career decision. It started with curiosity, responsibility, and a desire to show up where the work mattered.
From clinical care to systems-level health
I’ve always been in awe of the animal–human bond. For a long time, veterinary medicine felt like the clearest way to turn that awe into service: show up for patients, stay calm under pressure, and do work that matters.
Over time, my curiosity widened. I started asking questions that sat outside a single exam room: Where do resistance patterns come from? What environmental pressures shape health? What systems determine whether innovation reaches the people (and animals) who need it?
Those questions pulled me deeper into research—and ultimately toward translational science, where discovery and real-world outcomes are connected by excellent execution, cross-functional collaboration, and a persistent focus on impact.
- Rigor: clean methods, reproducible analysis, clear notes
- Quality: careful execution and consistent standards
- Translation: communicate across functions and audiences
- Ownership: follow-through and accountability
